Local Literary Journals

Between 1977 and 2009 Ingrid's poems have been published in numerous South African literary journals, including Upstream, Sesame, Staffrider, Contrast, New Contrast, New Coin, Carapace. Occasionally poems have also appeared, translated into Afrikaans, in various South African Afrikaans newspapers.

Musical Performances, Other Media

2001 & 2002: Ingrid’s work was profiled in a video to accompany the teaching publication “Crossings: Three Cape Town Poets” and in poem: imagine: film, a video educational resource, both produced by Devon County Council, Devon Curriculum Services.
   
2003: Two poems were set to music by South African composer Philip Miller in a cycle called “The Z3 Song Cycle” and performed at the New Music Indaba at the Grahamstown Festival.
   
2008: A poem was set to music by American composer Chris Gable, and performed by the choir One Voice Mixed Chorus and the Minnesota Philharmonic.

Other poems have been performed or set to dance or music by actors, choreographers and composers at various events in South Africa.

Ingrid’s poems have been read on South Africa, BBC, Australian and Canadian radio.

Work taught at universities

Ingrid's poetry has been or is being taught at numerous universities and colleges in Canada and the United States and elsewhere in the world. It is regularly taught at universities in South Africa and at matriculation level at schools.
